Dog Parks & Local Antelope-Area Walks

The Dog Park at Arbors Homes
Pet-friendly single-family homes at the Arbors offer three different playgrounds and abundant green space that also includes our own private on-site dog park! But for times when you want to venture further, here's a list of other area places to explore with your furry friend:
Antelope / Sacramento Area Dog Parks
These local dog parks are all within ~10 miles of Antelope, California:
- Gibson Ranch Dog Park
Address: 8220 Manhart Dr, Elverta, CA 95626
Just two miles from The Arbors, Gibson Ranch Dog Park sits within the 355-acre Gibson Ranch Regional Park in Elverta and features an off-leash area with an obstacle course and sweeping country views. Set back from main roads, it’s a peaceful, open alternative to busier city dog parks.
- Carmichael Park Off Leash Dog Park
Address: 7001 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608
Nicknamed the “Canine Corral”, this fully-fenced off-leash play area has separate sections for large and small dogs and stays open from dawn until 10 p.m. It's located at the back of the 38-acre Carmichael Park. Benches, shade, and water stations make it more comfortable for pet owners, and its placement near other park amenities means you can easily pair dog-play with a longer walk or picnic on-site.
- Marco Dog Park
Address: 1800 Sierra Gardens Dr, Roseville, CA 95661
Located on Sierra Gardens Dr in Roseville, this fully-fenced off-leash dog park features open turf, shade trees, a water fountain and paved paths, offering a relaxed setting for pups and owners alike. Weekly maintenance closes the park early each Wednesday (6 a.m.–10 a.m.), so it’s best to plan play-time around that window.
- Bear Dog Park
Address: 1565 Pleasant Grove Blvd, Roseville, CA 95747
Nestled inside Mahany Park in Roseville, this fully-fenced off-leash area is neatly divided into separate sections for large and small dogs and includes agility equipment, walking trails and benches for owners. It opens at sunrise and closes one hour after sunset — note that it’s closed every Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. for maintenance,
- Cabana Dog Park
Address: 6251 Fremont Cir, Sacramento, CA 95841
The fully-fenced Cabana Dog Park spans about one acre and features a drinking fountain, covered benches, and even a dog-washing station for post-play cleanup. The compact, smaller size makes it best for a quick, supervised off-leash session rather than a full run-around outing.
