What Is Dine Downtown?

Dine Downtown is an eleven-day indulgence in fine dining. Over 30 of the area’s top restaurants feature their own specialized 3-course dining experience. Now in its 14th year, this event has generated five million dollars in sales for the restaurants, with thousands donated to social services and food literacy programs in Sacramento.

Thanks to the quality of food offered by top chefs, Southwest: The Magazine has dubbed Sacramento the Next Great American Food City. If you’re interested in tasting Downtown’s gourmet food scene, then this is the best way to experience all this vibrant area has to offer.

The Details

The event takes place in January of 2019 from the 11th to the 21st. You can stop in at a wide variety of fine dining locales and feast on 3-course prix fix meal for the price of $35. One dollar from each meal you purchase goes directly towards Sacramento’s social services programs, including theirfood literacy program.

The food literacy program places an emphasis on nutritional education, helping children make healthy choices and understand the impact their food selection has on the economy and the environment. An entire week of the program costs just $4.11, which means you and three friends could make a difference in one child’s life just by eating with Dine Downtown.

Since this event takes place across the area, parking and other fine details will change depending on where you choose to eat. Every restaurant participates on all eleven days, so the choice is yours. Menus aren’t available just yet but will be available in December.
